Fruit Stains

Fresh fruits are always so good to eat, but can be hard to get out of your clothes! Fruit stains can be different colors and even different types of stains to remove. Below are the steps on how to remove fresh fruit from your clothing.

The first step to remove any stain is to start by removing any excess food that is leaving the stain on the clothing item. You don't want to rub the stain in even more when you're trying to get rid of it! Rinse the stained area with cold water. Next, rub some liquid detergent into it gently so the stain does not spread. After rubbing liquid detergent into the stain, let it sit for about five minutes.

Next, rinse hot water through the back of the stain. Tip: Make the water as hot as you can so it will force it back through the article of clothing. Then, apply a stain remover stick, gel, or spray to help soak up the stain even more. If the stain happens to remain, you can follow the above steps again until the stain is completely removed. Another way to get rid of the stain if it did not come out is to sprinkle salt on the area with the stain. Salt will help absorb it so it will not be so bad before you treat it again. Lastly, wash the clothing in the washing machine, and then the stain should be completely removed.
